Originally trained as a painter, Sarah worked for many years
in the Fine Art Printmaking Department at Winchester School of Art
and in a leading print editioning workshop. Also there were
Residencies and Fellowships in the UK and overseas.
She subsequently set up her own print studio to work
on projects with professional painters and sculptors;
her work has consequently developed into all the print areas
as well as photography and digital.
'I am concerned with ideas of mortality, journeys both personal
and universal, the threads of memory which connect us,
the enigmatic merging of spirit and place'
More recently a long held preoccupation with the grid and
rectangle as a spiritual language has been influenced by
the intricate geometry of early Welsh quilts, as well as the
astonishing sophistication of 14th century Moorish tiles
in the Alhambra Palace in Granada.
